Show Highlights

With so much to do and see at the show, these are just some of the highlights not to miss.

Kid’s Korner

At the Kid’s Korner, children can begin or add to their rock, mineral, and fossil collections for free! At this year’s show children can collect tumbled stones, tiny crystals, and teeth of sharks that lived during the Age of Dinosaurs. We will also pass out free samples of rocks carried by railroad cars, like coal and iron ore, and help you learn the names of some of the most common rocks found in your neighborhood. This is a great way for scouts and 4-H members to work on their badges, arrow, petals, try-it, or spark projects. Bring your group with their questions for our CGMA geology and paleontology experts!

Beading

Watch the beading experts show you the tools and techniques for creating beautiful jewelry. You can learn about all facets of beading, including fusing, advantages of different clasps, fold forming, tube setting and more!
